Kemba Walker returned to Charlotte for the first time as an opponent and received a standing ovation from the Hornets fans.
The team also honoured Walker, who spent the previous eight seasons with Charlotte, with a 90-second video.
Walker helped the Boston Celtics rally past the Hornets (87-108) and earn their sixth straight win (6-1).
