After a wonderful 19 years of NBA career at the highest level Shaquille O’Neal has decided to call it a day.

 

Like a true champion he did not require TV coverage or sponsors to announce his retirement but did via his twitter account, so his fans and followers would be the first to know about it.

During his career Shaq has won 4 NBA titles (three of them consecutive with Kobe Bryant at Lakers), he was NBA Finals MVP three times, NBA Season MVP in 2000, MVP Rookie of the Year in 1993, selected in 15 NBA All-Star Games, selected 8 times in NBA All-First team and of course 1994 World Championships MVP.

He has played for Orlando Magic, Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat, Phoenix Suns, Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics.

He ranks 5thall-time in points scored, 12th in rebounds and 7th in blocks.
