Former NBA player Darius Miles shared a humorous anecdote about being pulled over by his Miami Heat teammate, the iconic Shaquille O’Neal, during his time as a police officer.

During an appearance on FanDuelTV’s Run It Back, Miles revealed the incident, jokingly mentioning how Shaq’s traffic stop made him late for practice and elicited laughter from the audience.

“Shaq pulled me over before. Yeah he made me late for practice, pulled me over…I told him he got to pay my fine, he said ‘I got you’,” Miles recalled.

O’Neal’s transition to law enforcement began during his tenure with the Heat, where he pursued training to become a reserve officer for the Miami Beach Police Department. After completing his training, O’Neal was officially sworn in as a reserve officer on December 8, 2005.
