The EuroLeague Players Association (ELPA) took to Twitter and responded to the comments of Barcelona’s head coach, Svetislav Pesic.
Pesic heavily criticized ELPA regarding the changes to the players’ schedule, stating that these are responsible for the players’ injuries and calling ELPA’s Managing Director, Bostjan Nachbar, “completely abnormal”.
“We realize that at times we will meet individuals who will not fully understand or agree with our initiatives.
We will continue to engage in collective discussions with Euroleague Basketball and clubs about improving players’ careers and overall basketball product.”
Our goals keep us motivated to keep working hard on and off the court,” ELPA tweeted.
