In front of a sold-out crowd in Shanghai, the Brooklyn Nets defeated the LA Lakers in the first of their two preseason games in China (114-111).

The match eventually took place, despite the initial concerns of being cancelled, following the recent controversy between the NBA and China.

Six players scored in double figures for the winners, with Spencer Dinwiddie leading the way with a game-high 25 points.

On the other hand, LeBron James had a team-high 20 points for the losing squad, while Rajon Rondo and Anthony Davis added 18 and 16 points, respectively.

The Nets and the Lakers will face each other again on Saturday (12/10) in Shenzhen.
