The head coach of Zalgiris Kaunas Sarunas Jasikevicius addressed the decision of Olympiacos to part ways with head coach David Blatt.
“Now it’s in fashion to cut the coach. Of course, I’m not inside the club and maybe we don’t know something. But, this is the easiest way. Sometimes it helps, but I’m not sure if the lack of patience leads to better results,” Jasikevicius said, per Donatas Urbonas.
The “Reds” are searching for Blatt’s replacement, with Xavi Pscual and Giorgos Bartzokas being the main candidates to take over. At the moment, Kestutis Kemzura will become the interim head coach of the club.
