Dallas Mavericks head coach Rick Carlisle is excited to have Luka Doncic on the roster ahead of the 2019-2020 season. Carlisle shared his thoughts on how important Doncic is for the Mavs during the Media Day.
Carlisle is prepared to make Doncic the team’s main point guard as he he brings something unique that no other NBA player does.
“He’s the point guard. … He’s unusual. He’s a very unique point guard. We haven’t seen a guy exactly like him ever in the NBA,” Carlisle said.
“I wouldn’t trade Doncic for anybody.”
Doncic had a stellar debut year in the NBA averaging 21.2 points, 7.8 rebounds and 6 assists per game for the Mavericks.
