In an appearance on “The Jump,” ESPN’s Chicago Bulls reporter Nick Friedell said the Los Angeles Lakers made a mistake by acquiring big man Dwight Howard instead of Joakim Noah:

“I don’t have much expectation for Dwight at all. … I’m surprised so much is being made out of it. … Joakim Noah knows his role at this stage of his career. … What have we seen from Dwight?” Friedell said.

This past season, Noah, 34, averaged 7.1 points, 5.7 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game. Meanwhile, Howard, 33, missed most part of the 2018-19 season owing to injuries, averaging 12.8 points along with 9.2 rebounds per game.
