According to Adrian Wojnarowski, the Los Angeles Lakers are planning individual workouts to evaluate centers Joakim Noah, Dwight Howard and Marreese (Mo) Speights.

Another consideration for the Lakers is Marcin Gortat, who is currently overseas.

Noah is a free agent, Howard is under contract with the Memphis Grizzlies, but they’re letting him explore other opportunities, Speights played in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) last season and Gortat is a free agent after he was waived by the Los Angeles Clippers last season.

ESPN’s Brian Windhorst previously said that he believed it was unlikely that Howard goes to the Lakers, as he thinks the Lakers’ coaches want a younger, more active player at this point in their careers.

All of the centers that the Lakers are considering are over 30, as Noah is 34, Howard is 33, Speights is 32 and Gortat is 35.

“The Lakers are in need of somebody who can be healthy and give them minutes and that doesn’t fit who Dwight Howard or Joakim Noah are at this point of their careers,” Windhorst said on ESPN’s SportsCenter.
