Following Team USA’s 88-67 victory over the Czech Republic, US national team’s head coach Gregg Popovich was asked if he is happy with the way team played:
“As I’ve said many times, happy is not really a word coaches employ. We’re basically sick puppies and probably never happy, but that’s got to be our calling card. We’re going to try and execute better and better as time goes on, but defensively we’ve got to put our money there. It’s what we have to be about to have an opportunity. All and all, it’s getting better,” Popovich said.
Team USA will battle Turkey on Tuesday (03/08).
