Team of France won 78-74 against Germany in the European clash of Group G in the FIBA World Cup 2019 in China.

The German team had a poor entrance to the match and in the first quarter they only scored 4 points, while their opponent finished that part of the game with 16 points. During the second half, France allowed Germany to get back to the game. Germany even had -2 in the last period, but, in the end, the French team managed to celebrate.

Evan Fournier was the best player of the winning squad, with 26 points and 10 rebounds (index rating of 25), while his teammate, Amath M’Baye, scored 21. These were the only two players with double-digit scores for France.

Germany also had only two players with more than 10 points and the best one was Johannes Voigtmann, who scored 25 points (index rating of 28). Dennis Schroder finished the game with 23 points and 8 assists (index rating of 20).

In the next round, France will play against Jordan and Germany against Dominican Republic.
