Serbia has won Adidas Cup after beating Turkey in tonight’s final game 83-70. This was first preparation tournament for Serbia and they have managed to win 3 straight games against New Zealand, Iran and finally Turkey.

After beating New Zealand and Iran, the game against Turkey who was host of the Adidas Cup was good test for Serbia to acknowledge the level of preparation they stand for the forthcoming World Championship.

Turkey has been better team only in the first couple of minutes, led by the Ersan Ilyasova but Serbia quickly managed to egalize and come ahead to win first quarter by 27-20. Everything functioned good tonight for the Serbs who was ahead 49-36 at the half-time with Marko Keselj scored 11 points to surprise home team. Then Turkey started playing a bit better, making some pressure on the ball and in the 27th minute they were only point down at 57-58. Once again Serbs responded well and led by their most experienced players Savanovic and Krstic they started to make some difference once again and they were un-catchable right to the end of the game.

Serbia will stay at Turkey as they arranged friendly game tomorrow with their hosts which will be closed for the public.
