New Zealand endured the comeback of Italy and claimed the 82-88 victory in a preparation game ahead of the 2019 Basketball World Cup.

New Zealand made a great start and quickly earned a double-digit lead (14-26). Yet, the Italians turned things around and cut the deficit to three at the end of the third quarter (61-64). New Zealand stood tall in the fourth quarter, though, and sealed the deal.

Corey Webster had a team-high 21 points for the winners. On the other hand, Danilo Gallinari (22 points), Marco Belinelli (19 points) and Alessandro Gentile (17 points) were the best players of the losing squad.
