In this year’s NBA.com Rookie Survey, 62 percent of rookies chose New Orleans Pelicans’ Zion Williamson or Memphis Grizzlies’ Ja Morant to win the Rookie of the Year award.

For all categories, players were asked to not vote for themselves, college teammates or NBA teammates.

Williamson made Rookie Survey history, as he received 87 percent of votes in the “most athletic” category.

Morant was a clear favorite in the “best playmaker” category, receiving 40 percent of votes.

The entire list of winners and survey questions is as follows:

Rookie of the Year: Zion Williamson, New Orleans Pelicans (35%)

Best Career: Cam Reddish, Atlanta Hawks (19%)

Biggest Steal: Bol Bol, Denver Nuggets and Kevin Porter Jr., Cleveland Cavaliers (19%)

Most Athletic: Zion Williamson, New Orleans Pelicans (87%)

Best Shooter: Tyler Herro, Miami Heat (33%)

Best Defender: Matisse Thybulle, Philadelphia 76ers (37%)

Best Playmaker: Ja Morant, Memphis Grizzlies (40%)

Biggest Adjustment Playing in NBA: Speed or pace of the game (40%)

Most Important Skill Needed to Develop: Shooting (32%)

Favorite Player: LeBron James (38%)

The most surprising result of the Rookie Survey seemed to be Cam Reddish voted as having the best career, given Williamson’s prestige and hype entering the season.

It’s also worth noting that none of the rookies surveyed chose Steph Curry as their favorite player.
