Mario Chalmers, who last played in the NBA for the Memphis Grizzlies during the 2016-2017 season, says he wants to get back in the league.

After spending one season with Virtus Bologna of the Italian Lega Basket Serie A (LBA), the 33-year-old has been playing semi-competitive basketball in the Big3 league for the 3 Headed Monsters.

His teammates include former NBA players Rashard Lewis, Reggie Evans, Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf, Larry Sanders and Al Thornton.

“I’m happy just to be playing basketball. But I do want to get back in the NBA,” Chalmers said, per Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald.

“I always said to myself, I at least want 10-plus years in the league. I’m at nine right now. So I definitely want to get back in the league for at least two, three more years if I can. At least one, if anything.”

Chalmers also said he would be open to going back overseas if the NBA didn’t work out.

The two-time NBA champion spent seven-plus seasons with the Miami Heat before being traded to the Grizzlies in the 2015-2016 season.

Chalmers is making his return to the American Airlines Arena, the home court of the Heat, as his 3 Headed Monsters take on the Enemies on Aug. 10.
