The Italian Basketball Federation announced that Nicolo Melli underwent knee surgery and may miss the 2019 Basketball World Cup.
The Italian power forward will miss the national team’s training camp and his condition will be re-evaluated week after week.
Melli signed a two-year contract with the New Orleans Pelicans a couple of weeks ago.
