Zydrunas IlgauskasCleveland Cavaliers will not be trying to stop Zydrunas Ilgauskas from playing for his country in Beijing Olympics. Lrytas.lt reports that NBA club changed their strict opinion. Until now Cavs were declaring that they will do everything to prevent Big Z from for Lithuania. LKF (Lithuanian Basketball Federation) is still working on Ilgauskas health insurance.

It is estimated that the price of the insurance should be over 3M Litas (around 900K Euros). 'Lloyd's' is the company that will be giving an insurance to the Big Z.

LKF did everything to get Zydrunas Ilgauskas. Even Lithuanian Prime Minister called to NBA comissioner David Stern arranged.

Zydrunas Ilgauskas could be soon coming to Lithuania to join the national team in the first training camp as he expressed this wish some time ago. He wants to start the preparation as soon as possible so he could adjust to the FIBA rules and feel the team better.

Meanwhile LKF general secretary Mindaugas Balciunas said that nothing is clear yet and the negotiations are still going. Balciunas said that the chances to see Ilgauskas wearing Lithuanian jersey in Beijing are 50%.
