Lottomatica Roma president Claudio Toti introduced Bogdan Tanjevic as Roma’s new sporting director. The famous basketball coach will finish coaching career  this summer on the bench of the Turkish national team  at the FIBA World Championships.

During his three seasons with Fenerbahce Ulker, Tanjevic led the team to win Turkish League titles in 2008 and 2010 and to its first Turkish Cup title in 43 years. He coached Italy to the gold medal at EuroBasket 1999 and former Yugoslavia to the silver medal at EuroBasket 1981.

He also led Bosna Sarajevo to its and his only Euroleague title in 1979.  He has won seven league titles in five different countries – former Yugoslavia,Serbia & Montenegro, Italy, France and Turkey.
