Euroleague have announced the teams that will take part in next season’s Eurocup (regular season and qualifying rounds) competition. Check out the entire list of 40 teams.
The teams that will participate in the 2010-11 Euroleague and Eurocup seasons were presented and approved Wednesday at a meeting of the Euroleague Commercial Assetts Board in Barcelona, Spain. A total of 32 teams will play in the Eurocup regular season.
The field will be made up of 10 direct qualifiers, 14 others that come from the Euroleague qualifying rounds and 8 more that win their way into the competition from the Eurocup qualifying rounds. A draw for the Euroleague and Eurocoup qualifying round will be held on July 8 in Barcelona, Spain. The Eurocup qualifying round is due to end on Wednesday, October 6 and the Euroleague qualifying rounds on Friday, October 8.
Once all the qualifying rounds are finished in early October, a regular season draw to divide 32 teams in regular season groups will be held. The regular season is tentatively scheduled to begin on Tuesday, November 16.
