BBL CupAhead of his side's clash with the Cheshire Jets on Sunday, Guildford Heat play caller Chad McKnight has warned his men that BBL veterans Chez Marks, James Hamilton and Shawn Myers, will be the players to watch out for on Sunday. He said: 'I think we will match up well against Cheshire. They have a few guys who have been playing well in Chez Marks, James Hamilton, and Shawn Myers, and it will be a tough test for us'. The 6'8'' Forward also slammed his side's recent defensive efforts, adding: 'I want to be better defensively as a team, we need to get more stops and hold teams to less points than what we have been giving up.'

The Worthing Thunder go into their match up with the Glasgow Rocks this Sunday full of confidence, after an important 104-90 win over the Newcastle Eagles last weekend, and Head Coach Dave Titmuss was overjoyed with the result, something he says his side should 'build on' this weekend: 'Obviously, it's a huge win for us and the first time the Thunder has beaten them' he said: 'It was also the first time since our opening game of the season that we've had our full roster fit. I really liked the way we closed the game out, we made some smart defensive plays that triggered an 11 – 0 run. This is a performance and result that we will build on' he added.

Sunday evening also sees the Marshall MK Lions look to recover from their heartbreaking BBL Cup Semi Final exit last weekend, at the hands of the Cheshire Jets. They take on an Airwaves Plymouth Raiders side that lost out 69-84 to the Everton Tigers last Saturday evening. One bright spot for the Raiders was that recently re-signed fan favourite, Drew Lasker, had a successful return to Raiders action, as he top scored with 23 points personal. However, Raiders chief Gary Stronach expressed his frustration at his side's inconsistency during games. He explained: 'We are letting ourselves down for short spells in games and that was the case last weekend. If we overcome those spells, then we will start picking up wins.'

Rounding off Sunday's action and completing the BBL fixtures for this weekend, is a clash between PAWS London Capital and the Newcastle Eagles. Whilst the Eagles lost to the Thunder last weekend, they had a relatively easy time compared to the Capital, who went down 110-38 to BBL Cup Semi Finalists, the Jelson Homes DMU Leicester Riders, the deficit equalling the largest winning margin in BBL history.
