Panathinaikos head coach Rick Pitino was not satisfied with the loss of the “Greens” to Real Madrid on Wednesday night (17/04).
Here is what the Hall of Famer coach told reporters in the post-game press conference:
“We could have won and should have won. We didn’t. I’m not happy of a lot of things. Excuses are a sign of weakness and we won’t use excuses. We went down the well one time to many.
It was a brilliant comeback by a very tough, focused basketball team. I am pleased with the effort, disappointed with a lot of things that went on. We will regroup and get ready for the next game.”
Game 2 will be played in Madrid on Friday (19/04).
