In an interview with FIBA, the head coach of Serbia, Sasha Djordjevic, referred to the national team’s targets in the 2019 Basketball World Cup.

“We respect every opponent, but we want to win every game. The draw doesn’t change our plan, or our goal. The goal is always the same, to win a medal,” the 51-year-old coach said.

“Serbia is always going for a medal, and I’m not saying we will always get to the podium, but it has to be a goal,” he added.

Coach Djordjevic also referred to Serbia’s opponents in the group stage (Italy, Philippines, Angola), the team’s roster and more.
