In an interview with the Russian website R-Sport, CSKA Moscow president Andrey Vatutin referred to the Muscovites’ clash with Baskonia in the EuroLeague playoffs.
“We felt ready to travel to Greece, but Zalgiris Kaunas complicated things with the heroic finish to the regular season,” Vatutin initially said.
“Baskonia has a historic chance to take part in the Final Four at home. Our opponents will give it their all. The series will be more difficult than ever. The first two games in Moscow are very important,” he added.
The experienced executive also talked about head coach Dimitris Itoudis, the possibility of each team having a 14-man roster in the EuroLeague and more.
