Virginia Cavaliers defeated Texas Tech in overtime (85-77) in the Final of the 2019 Final Four and earned the title for the first time in their history.
De’Andre Hunter led the winners with 27 points and nine rebounds, with Kyle Guy adding 15 points. On the other hand, Davide Moretti had 15 points for the losing squad.
This was the first time since 2008 that the Final of the NCAA was decided in overtime. The Final Four was held in Minneapolis.
Guy was named the MVP of the Final Four.
