Anthony MartinCoach Chuck Evans has secured the services of promising British point guard Anthony (Ant) Martin. The 6' 1", 28 year-old is described as "a very solid point guard who controls the team & makes very few mistakes with his 3 to 1 assist/turnover ratio. He knows how to make the right pass at the right time to his teammates. He is not afraid to penetrate and go inside. He plays defence from end to end. He has improved his outside shot and has excellent speed to get into the paint and to create easy baskets for his teammates."

Martin played for Chester Jets in the 2005-06 season, recording 7.38 p.p.g, 4.87 a.p.g, 2.38 rebs p.g, 54% of FG, 70% of FT, 30% of 3pt FG in 24 minutes per game. He did not play in the following season for family reasons.

Anthony joined Plymouth Raiders in September 2007 when it was discovered that Gavin Love's rehab from ankle surgery was going to take longer than expected. He flew in, spent a couple of days getting used to Plymouth and the other team members and got on with the job of pushing the Raiders towards the top of the BBL. He led the team with 4 assists per game, as well as contributing 8.3 points, and 3.5 rebounds per outing.

This time last year Martin signed a one year contract to continue with the Raiders. He recorded 9 p.p.g, 5.3 a.p.g, 3.6 rebs p.g, 1 steal p.g, 47% of FG, 70% of FT and played 33 games for the Plymouth team.

Wolves Head Coach Chuck Evans said, "Many people want to measure a player's success according to stats. With Anthony, the only important stat is his team's winning percentage! His teams are routinely in the semi-finals or finals. If Anthony can mimic any of the success gained in Plymouth and Chester, we will have a successful season in Worcester!"
