After studying the documents provided by the three clubs to play in the season 2009/2010, the PLK decided to admit them in the championship, so there will be 14 teams competing in PLK next season.
The three clubs that have received professional licenses are Polonia Warsaw, Polonia 2011 Warsaw and Stal Stalowa Wola. The championship will start on October 10 with the following matches:
Asseco Prokom v Znicz
Stal SW v PGE Turów
Polonia 2011 v Anwil
Trefl v Energa
PBG Basket v Kotwica
Sportino v Polpharma
AZS v Polonia
The 26-game regular season will end on March 27, 2010. Just three days later, the Play-offs will start. The Finals, with a best-of-seven format, will be played in May 14, 16, 19, 21, and if necessary, 24, 27 and 30.
