Cheshire Jets  The Cheshire Jets are happy to announce that they've secured Frank Phifer for the 2009-10 season. The 6ft 9 forward put pen to paper this week after terms and conditions were reached to bring him back.

Frank returns after a successful first season with the Jets racking up an average of 11 points per game 7.3 rebounds and one block per game and a field goal percentage of 56 percent .

Coach Paul Smith said;

"We're delighted to have secured Frank for another season, last season Frank went from strength to strength as a player he grew in confidence and finished the season strong. He's a real versatile player whose able to score in a number of ways. What impressed us most was his performance on the boards. This season we'll be looking to him to pull down rebounds at both ends of the court."

Phifer who is a native of the Bronx in New York, graduated from Washburn University in 2007. He then joined Spanish LEB Bronze League club Juventud de Cordoba before transferring to the Jets.

Frank will be back into the UK to start training with the team at the end of the month.
