Chester JetsThe Cheshire Jets are preparing for the arrival of their newest signing American Point Guard Paul Peterson. The 5 foot 10 star who schooled at BYU Hawaii will be heading to Chester to start training with the rest of the team at the end of August.

Peterson played in the Germany last season in the Regionalliga where he was crowned defensive player of the year. Peterson averaged 20 points a game shooting 40 percent from a 3 point range.

Head Coach Paul Smith said.

"Great scores bring the best out in a team and we were looking for a true point guard with a great track record. Paul is this type of player, he will bring a tremendous amount of on the court leadership to the team at both ends of the floor. The partnership between Paul and Chez is one I'm really looking forward to watching. It will be an exciting pairing and hopefully a high scoring one. We are looking forward to welcoming Paul to the Northgate"

The Jets are near to finalising their roster for the 09/10 season and will be releasing the latest signings and their new principal sponsor over the coming weeks.

The new season starts with an away trip to Newcastle Eagles on the 25th of September then a home battle against Milton Keynes at the Northgate on the 27th of September.
