In a close game in Boston, the Celtics defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder in an offensive showdown and maintained a top four push (134-129).

The hosts took control from the opening tip and were in front for almost the whole game.

They led by as many as 12 points and earned the win, as the visitors couldn’t turn things around, despite cutting the deficit to one in the final minutes of the game (129-128).

Seven players scored in double figures for the winners, with Kyrie Irving leading his team with 30 points and 11 assists.

Paul George had a game-high 37 points for the losing squad, with Russell Westbrook posting a double-double (22 points, 12 rebounds and 16 assists).

Boston improved to 34-19, whereas OKC dropped to 33-19.
