Baskonia was unstoppable from the opening tip and triumphed over Maccabi Tel-Aviv at home (97-73) to maintain a play-off push.

The hosts led from start to finish and never looked back (26-18). The Basques took a 19-point lead in the second quarter (43-24) and closed the first half in front by 13 (54-41).

The Israelis couldn’t turn things around in the second half and saw Baskonia lead by as many as 24 points (73-49, 81-57) to seal the deal.

Johannes Voigtmann led the winners with 20 points, with Darrun Hilliard adding 19 points.

Scottie Wilbekin (19 points) and Johnny O’Bryant (15 points) were the best players of the losing squad.

Baskonia snapped Maccabi’s four-game winning streak and improved to 10-11, whereas the visitors dropped to 9-12, one win below the play-off zone.
