A 23-16 run in the final quarter enabled Barcelona to beat Panathinaikos and extend its winning streak to five games (79-68).

After a close first half (17-13, 37-36), the Catalans went on a 16-6 run and took a double-digit lead (53-42). However, the “Greens” reacted and cut the deficit to one (62-61), behind a 9-19 run.

But, the “Blaugrana” brought their lead back to double digits (78-67) and sealed the deal, as the visitors ran out of time and couldn’t turn things around.

Thomas Heurtel and Kevin Seraphin were the best players of the winners, with 23 and 14 points, respectively.

Only Ioannis Papapetrou scored in double figures for the losing squad, finishing the game with 17 points.

Barcelona improved to 11-7, whereas Panathinaikos dropped to 8-10.
