Zalgiris Kaunas announced that Antanas Kavaliauskas will be sidelined for the next at least five weeks.
The Lithuanian center will undergo abdominal surgery and will make his return to action in mid-February.
Kavaliauskas has averaged 6.2 points and 2.4 rebounds in 12 games so far.
Zalgiris Kaunas also announced that center Deon Thompson will be Kavaliauskas’ replacement.
