Thanks to a stellar offensive performance, Olympiacos dominated AEK Athens and cruised to an easy victory at home (101-75).
It was a close game in the first quarter (25-21), yet the “Reds” outscored their opponents 27-18 in the second quarter and closed the first half in front by 13 (52-39).
In the second half, the hosts kept playing at high standards and retained their double-digit lead (74-56) to rally past the visitors.
Janis Timma led the winners with 17 points, as Vassilis Spanoulis added 14 points and four assists.
Vince Hunter and Howard Sant-Roos stood out for the losing squad, with 15 points apiece.
Olympiacos improved to 11-1, whereas AEK Athens dropped to the fifth place, at 8-4.
