In a late thriller in Kaunas, Daniel Hackett scored five straight points and helped CSKA Moscow edge Zalgiris (79-84).

The visitors were in front by double digits for most of the first 25 minutes (17-28, 34-44), but the Lithuanians outscored the Russians 25-11 to take a four-point lead at the end of the third quarter (59-55).

The hosts had the upper hand at the start of the fourth quarter (63-57), but the Muscovites saw Hackett score crucial points in the last part of the game and went on a 16-27 run to seal the deal.

Hackett and Will Clyburn led the winners with 19 points apiece, as Nando De Colo added 13.

Brandon Davies (19 points, seven rebounds) and Marius Grigonis (13 points) stood out for the losing squad.

CSKA improved to 12-4 and ended a three-game road losing streak, whereas Zalgiris dropped to 7-9.
