The Boston Celtics (22-15) past the Minnesota Timberwolves (17-21) at home 115:102 (25:21, 35:21, 27:39, 28:21).

The 28-year-old forward Gordon Hayward came off the bench to lead the Celtics with a season-high 35 points (on 14/18 shooting, including 4/7 from three) and 5 assists.

Terry Rozier added 16 points, Al Horford posted 15 points, Marcus Morris poured in 12 points, Jaylen Brown managed 10 points with 5 rebounds. Kyrie Irving missed the match due to inflammation in his left eye.

Five Celtics finished in double digits. Boston made 12 on 30 three-point attempts.

On the other hand, Andrew Wiggins was the top scorer for the Timberwolves with 31 points (on 10/18 shooting, including 2/5 from three), Karl-Anthony Towns added 28 points (on 12/21 shooting). In addition, he grabbed 12 boards and dished out 7 assists, Tyus Jones contributed 14 points and 9 assists.

The Minnesota Timberwolves haven’t won in Boston since 2005.
