Dairis Bertans spoke with TalkBasket.net about the victory of Armani Milano over Panathinaikos in Athens (83-86).
Here is what the Latvian guard said:
On what was the key to the win: “For most part of the game we used our strong sides and we attacked their big men. We also defended pretty well and didn’t give them any space to execute their game plan. For 38 minutes, this worked pretty well.”
On putting an end to their five-game losing streak and whether it will help them maintain a play-off push: “Of course. We had to finish the losing streak as soon as possible.
A win on the road, and especially in this tough arena, will help us boost our confidence and start a winning streak.”
On his individual performance: “I did as much as I could do tonight, trying to play hard defence and take the open shots. I do whatever the coach asks me to do.”
