Argentina rallied past Mexico at home (85-71) and secured their ticket to the 2019 World Cup in China.

The hosts claimed their ninth win in Group E (9-1) and joined the United States (8-2), who also advanced to the World Cup.

Luis Scola led the winners, with 22 points and nine rebounds, as Nicolás Laprovittola and Marcos Delía added 13 points apiece.

For the Mexicans, who dropped to 3-7 and remained on the bottom of the standings, Gabriel Girón posted a team-high 20 points, with no other player scoring in double figures.
