Thanks to a 36-16 run in the second and the third quarter, the hosts dominated their opponents (35-25, 58-34) and never looked back.

Six players scored in double figures for the winners, with Oleksandr Kobets leading the way with 13. Gregor Hrovat and Blaz Mesicek had 13 and 12 points, respectively, for the losing squad.

Slovenia have been mathematically eliminated (2-7), whereas Ukraine remained alive in the qualification race.

In the other math of Group I, Montenegro defeated Latvia on the road (75-84) and the aforementioned teams (Ukraine, Latvia, Montenegro) now have identical records (5-4).
