Panathinaikos denied the referees’ accusations

Panathinaikos declined the referees’ accusations that Dimitris Giannakopoulos verbally assaulted them at halftime.

As the club stated, the “Greens” owner said nothing to the referees regarding betting and it was a matter of misinterpretation and mistranslation.

Per Panathinaikos, Giannakopoulos told the referees: “I know that Olympiacos has promised 20 thousand to the Italian (referee) and 20 to the Polish (referee). Only the Spanish (referee) is clear.

I will transfer everything to Bertomeu (EuroLeague CEO) and Stokes (EuroLeague Director of officiating). I know they kicked out Livieratos (former Olympiacos GM) and I know who is the new guy doing this job.”
