Tornike Shengelia claimed the ACB MVP award in October, as he helped Baskonia win five of their six league games.
The 27-year-old power forward averaged 15.5 points, 4.2 rebounds and a PIR of 19.8 in 22 minutes of action.
Shengelia surpassed Thad McFadden (19.7 in performance index rating), Bojan Dubljevic (PIR of 18.7) and Jaime Fernandez (PIR of 18.7 as well).
“I am very happy to receive this award, it is an honor for me and I want to thank God, my colleagues and coaches for putting me in this situation,” said the Basques’ undisputed leader.
