Bayern Munich played very well defensively and beat Baskonia at home (77-71), with the Basques losing for the third time in a row.

Derrick Williams came off the bench and scored a team-high 22 points, with Maodo Lo and Nihad Dedovic adding 15 and 14 points, respectively.

Vincent Poirier had a game-high 24 points, along with 11 rebounds, for the losing squad, while Tornike Shengelia posted 16 points and six boards.

Bayern made a great start to the game (20-11) and had an 11-point lead at halftime (43-32). Things didn’t change much later (61-52) and the Germans claimed the victory, as the visitors couldn’t turn things around.

The Basques had a very low three-point percentage, as they shot at just 16% from beyond the arc.

Bayern climbed higher in the standings (2-2), while Baskonia dropped to 1-3.
