Two heavyweights of the Eastern Conference met at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto. The Boston Celtics were defeated by the Toronto Raptors (101-113).

The Raptors’ newcomer, Kawhi Leonard, led the team with the game-high 31 points. He scored 15 of his 31 points in the third quarter. He also grabbed 10 boards and made 3 assists. Serge Ibaka, who played as the starting center instead of Jonas Valanciunas, posted 21 points with 6 boards, Kyle Lowry added 15 points, 6 assists and 6 rebounds.

On the other hand, Kyrie Irving contributed 21 points with 6 assists, Jayson Tatum scored 16 points with 9 rebounds, Gordon Hayward and Al Horford both managed 14 points. Horford also grabbed 10 boards and made 9 assists.
