Kyrie Irving was unstoppable and helped the Boston Celtics beat the Toronto Raptors (117-108) in the Eastern Conference derby.

The impressive point guard had 27 points (11/19 shooting) and a career-high 18 assists. Al Horford (24 points), Gordon Hayward (18 points) and Jayson Tatum (16 points) also stood out for the winners.

Six players scored in double figures for the losing squad, with Kawhi Leonard having a game-high 33 points.

A 34-17 run in the second quarter let the hosts end the first half in front by 11 (64-53).

The visitors came back and took the lead (94-96, 103-104), but Irving and the Celtics, who led by as many as 16 points, stood tall in the fourth quarter and sealed the deal (117-108).

Boston improved to 26-18, whereas Toronto dropped to 33-13.
