A 26-year-old the Boston Celtics point guard Kyrie Irving and a one-time NBA champion next summer will be a free agent. Where were some speculations about his future career stops – including the New York Knicks or the Brooklyn Nets.

But all these presumptions were denied by Kyrie Irving himself. Speaking with the crowd during the event at TD Garden in Boston Irving sad: “If you guys will have me back, I plan on re-signing here”. This midseason Irving could sign a $107 million contract extension with the Celtics, but he decided to wait until next summer for possibility to get approximately $80 million more.

Last season Kyrie Irving missed playoffs due to injury. During regular season he was averaging 24.4 points, 3.8 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game while shooting 49.1 percent from the field.
