Anadolu Efes defeated Olympiacos (78 – 70) in the opening game of the annual “Gomelsky Cup” tournament in Moscow.

The Turks were in front by 25 points (59-34) in the third quarter, but the “Reds” went on a 13-31 run and cut the deficit to seven (72-65). Yet, Anadolu Efes stood tall and were victorious in the game.

Adrien Moerman had 15 points and nine rebounds for the winners, with Rodrigue Beaubois adding 14 points and five assists. Tibor Pleiss had 11 points and Bryant Dunston 10 for the Turks.

On the other hand, Zach LeDay scored 13 points and grabbed six boards for the “Reds”, with Nikola Milutinov posting 12 points and eight rebounds and Sasa Vezenkov contributing 12 points, seven boards and four assists.
