The head coach of Maccabi Tel-Aviv, Neven Spahija, returned to Israel, ahead of the team’s pre-season preparation, and spoke with the media about the off-season signings and the squad’s plans for the new season.
Here is what the Croatian coach said:
On the club’s signings: “I think we did a good job with the staff, but, in the end, chemistry among the players is the most important thing.
The most important thing for me is that we did not have to replace 12 players now, we replaced five or six and that means we have kept the core of the team.”
On Maccabi’s plans for the new season: “What do we want to do better? There are many things. To play better defence, to make it to the EuroLeague playoffs, to win the Cup again, we have added new players to the core and now we will see what happens.”
