Croatia dominated Romania on the road (63-90) and secured their place in the second round of the World Cup qualifiers.

Dario Saric (22 points, 12 rebounds, five assists) and Ivica Zubac (20 points, nine boards) were the best players for the winners, who finished third in Group D.

Montenegro stunned Slovenia and beat the European champions (74-87) to claim the second place in Group A. Milko Bjelica had 17 points and 11 rebounds for the visitors, who shot at 63.3% in two-pointers.

On the other hand, the hosts played again without Luka Doncic and Anthony Randolph and suffered their fourth defeat in the first round (2-4). However, they finished third and qualified to the next round. Klemen Prepelic scored 15 points for the losing squad.

Spain and Lithuania remained undefeated (6-0 record), after beating Belarus (80-60) and Hungary (50-73), respectively, while Italy was decimated by the Netherlands on the road (81-66).
