The Greek side raced to a 1-0 lead in their EuroLeague playoff series against Real Madrid with a convincing 95-67 win in Athens.

Mike James was outstanding as he posted  24 points for Panathinaikos with Nick Calathes breaking the EuroLeague assists record as he dished 16 of them to go with 11 points.

CSKA Moscow came from behind to edge Khimki 98-95 in their opening game of the EuroLeague playoffs at the Megasport Arena. 

The visitors though will count themselves unlucky as they breezes into a comfortable 34-25 cushion after the first quarter and held the lead for the majority.

CSKA though fought back and led by 22 points from Sergio Rodriguez, they secured a reliving win.
