Grissin Bon Reggio Emilia added plenty of scoring talent to its roster by signing a one-year deal with guard Garrett Nevels, club announced on Wednesday.

The 24-year-old Nevels played last season for Forca Leida in the Spanish second division, where he averaged 16.4 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.4 assists per game. It was his second professional season, after playing 2015-16 campaign with Albacete in Spanish fourth division.

“We bring in a player who has been showing growth and improvement,” said Alessandro Frosini, Reggio Emilia sports director. “This is a guard who can also help our playmaking, with excellent physical qualities that allow him to be a very aggressive player on both sides of the court.

“We are confident that he can repeat his performance in Serie A and in an important competition such as the EuroCup.”
