After the end of CSKA Moscow’s training session, TalkBasket.net talked with Kyle Hines about Friday’s loss to Olympiacos Pireaus as well as the Russians’ game against Real Madrid.

Despite his disappointment, due to the “Bear’s” fourth straight loss to the “Reds” in the Final Four, Hines explained what went wrong on Friday’s game.

“They took control of rebounding and had many second chances at the basket. Although it was a close game, they made many decent plays in the fourth quarter and won the game.”

The three-time Euroleague champion couldn’t explain CSKA’s mentality against Olympiacos and why the Russian team can’t beat the Greeks in the Final Four.

He mentioned, though, that when he and his team-mates enter the floor, they don’t think about that, as every game is different.

Another question to the versatile center was whether it will be easy for CSKA Moscow to find motivation ahead of Sunday’s game.

“We still have a long season, while Real Madrid is a very good team, so it’s going to be a warm-up for VTB Playoffs,” he said.

Hines decided not to make a prediction for tomorrow’s Championship Game between Fenerbahce and Olympiacos Piraeus, adding, though, that “it will be a great game, with Olympiacos having the winning mentality, while Fenerbahce has been waiting for this opportunity for two years.”
